Snowed under with work? Is stress eating you from the inside out? Can’t focus your attention?
It seems that meditation can bring you some relief. Here’s what you need to meditate:
You.
Yes, that’s right. You needn’t have a special room, equipment, nor extra time. The best part of meditating is that you are always enough. And you can meditate wherever and whenever you want!

When to meditate?
Most of us live in a hassle. We’re busy working, commuting, learning – we generally don’t have much free time. If we find ourselves with a free moment to spare, we browse the Internet, respond to text messages, or prepare future plans.
This free moment is all you need to start meditating. Be it on a bus or in a queue, don’t reach for your phone. Follow these steps for a simple yet effective meditation instead.
Loosen up
Start by relaxing your mind and body. Clear your head and make space for new ideas. Calm down and try to keep your back straight without any tension. You can consider playing relaxation music in your earbuds.

Close or open eyes
Contrary to the popular belief, you don’t need to have your eyes closed and hum during meditation. It’s all up to you and the situation you’re in. If you’ve got your eyes open, it’s good to fix your sight on a single point in front of you.
Control breathing
While it’s impossible to forget to breathe, you shouldn’t underestimate the benefits of controlled breathing. Focus on your breath. It is the most grounding thing you’ll ever do in your life. If your mind is on your breathing, nothing else in the world matters.
Stay focused
You are the only thing you need to meditate. At the same time, you are the only enemy of meditation. You can’t let your thoughts flood you and keep you from controlled breathing. If you realize you’re suddenly thinking about something entirely else, just remind yourself to watch your breath. It might happen often in the beginning, but don’t let it discourage you.
This is all. A simple meditation you can practice anywhere during your day. Simply remember to relax, control your breath, and stay focused for your dose of relief.
